Variable portfolio edition of 30 for the UW-ASU "Impromptu" exchange plus Variable Edition B of 19 and 5 variable ed. A/Ps. 11 runs, 12 on some, including 2 (or 3) relief plates printed on the etching press, two woodcut runs, the rest letterpress. Created for my contribution to the "Impromptu" portfolio exchange shown at SGC 2002 in New Orleans, with the theme of improvisation and change. It contains a list of nicknames of famous jazz artists and a quote from Bix Beiderbecke.

Collaborative artists’ book with Charlie Cohan. Intaglio (drypoint and photoetch, Cohan) and relief collograph (Risseuw) with xerox transferred text on Magnani Pescia blue paper with black cloth covered board covers. Edition 6. Collaboratively created and produced by Charles Cohan and John Risseeuw in loving tribute to Miles Davis’ Kind of Blue album, in Cortona, Italy.

Portfolio edition of 50 plus 17 Roman Numeral edition and 10 A/Ps. 16 runs, 25 colors, including 1 relief plate printed on an etching press and 4 woodcut runs. Created for my contribution to the "Sock & Kiss" letterpress print portfolio.
It is based on the Thelonious Monk composition, "Evidence."
